English line golden retreivers, blended with hardy American lines, are the focus of Glenbogle's breeding program.  The beauty, health and longevity of the English lines blended  with the American lines is thought to produce a healthy, beautiful, sturdy golden with a wonderful, calm temperament.

Most Golden Retriever buyers only want a "pet."  Reputable breeders understand this and know that people may only want a "pet", but they also want a dog that is  calm, easily trained, free from health issues, long-lived, and probably beautiful, since they have chosen the golden retriever-- well-known for their beauty.  Please read on the NEWS page an explanation of the various titles my dogs have earned and why they are important to you. 

Glenbogle Golden Retrievers was named after the famous Glenbogle Castle in Scotland, which became well-known through the popular PBS series MONARCH OF THE GLEN.  I thought the name very fitting since the Golden Retriever originated in Scotland.

My goldens all live in my house with me and are my treasured companions.  We live on 4 acres in the country in beautiful northeastern Pennsylvania.

We show in mostly the Performance venues, although my goldens can do it all. Our favorites are Rally and Agility. We also do traditional Obedience Trials, Conformation and Tracking.

The girls of Glenbogle Goldens are true cream colored, descended from famous British lines.  Cream is a common color in Great Britain.  They are a true Golden Retriever; the main difference is color, and they have a notably calm temperament.  There is no such thing a a "white" retriever.  And, as light colored as my girls are - they are not white.

I breed one or two litters a year.
